You should think less and do more

You’re floating through college half-committed and allowing your professors and parents to push you through. College is boring. You’re not motivated. You feel uninspired. You graduate. You’re not motivated. You feel uninspired. And now you have student debt and no job. What was it all for?

The problem isn’t the institution. The problem isn’t our generation. The problem isn’t your parents. There is no problem. You are living your life. You are dealing with hardships every person your age goes through. You will figure out soon enough that you set your own path.

Nobody is going to tell you how to be happy. How to be successful. How to say the right things at the right time. You will figure that out for yourself. You will learn that you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself. You will learn that you are your own best advocate. Your sustenance, your strength, your joy, your future is all creative potential waiting to be expressed.

I have dreams and goals. They are all puzzles that require patience and persistence. I will put all the pieces together and I will see the big picture.

I will love me. And then I will love you. And life will be beautiful.
